Good weekend

Still enjoying myself out here! Had a very relaxing weekend in comparison to the previous one! Highlights for me included: Ordering a tailored suit for $30, can't beat that! Ti food, strangely enough! Probably the most disappointing thing about this trip is the food! Indian food is without a doubt my favourite back home, here I tend to avoid it..... Go figure! Some students took us out on Sunday which turned out a really good day. Spent the morning seeing a few temples etc then spent the reminder gorging on food and beer! I was desperate to see the Manchester derby (the football) so one of the guys kindly took us back to his place so we, or I as it turned out, could watch it! 4-3 to the mighty reds and a fantastic match to boot! Can't be bad. Hard Rock was a nice experience, ordered a cheeseburger! I don't know whether it was just my paranoia but the burger just tasted like wet sponge. Not good, the chips were fine though!!

Did some filming today out in the blaring sunshine, never been so uncomfortable! I have been feeling a bit off the last couple of days so it wasn't a great experience for me. I did enjoy the filming parts and learning new things however, I was glad to jump into the air conditioned taxi at the end of the day.

Not long left now, not sure how the whole expierience is going to effect me! It's going to take me months to proccess I think.

hey everyone

hey everyone back home just thought to put something up on here since ive not put anything up yet.here in india it is going ok.its so hot here at the momment.but the whole experience has been quite alright weve had some ups and downs while we have been here.wewere out filming in town today just getting to grips with a film camera and just playing about lol.some of the things that we have seen are unbelieveable like cows in the middle of th road ,traffic thats eight lanes across on a four lane road and seeing people slepping by the road and many other things as well.
so see you all next week
TATA for now.

Our last weekend.

Ok time to do this again... first time i did this it deleted itself. See this is why i stay away from posting on websites i've only just joined.

Right so it was a relaxing weekend, complete opposite from our Jaipur, Agra, traffic jam experience.

Saturday - Exhausted from Friday's class which was full of people shouting at people who were trying to do their presentations (five ten minute presentations took nearly two hours to do), we put our washing into the dry cleaners and will have it back today. Gillian, Blair, Tony and I decided to explore our local area (while Robbie explored Middle-Earth) starting with the yoga park (no yoga on that day though but a couple of annoying street children just holding their hands out saying "Please") then we found a cake shop with Hindi Schweppes and Coca-cola cans and ended up at a fabric shop where they do suit making. Blair chose out some nice material and is gettng his suit made for thirty pounds! After coffee and cake in our favourite coffee shop Robbie also decided to get a suit made and Tony is gettign a shirt. Gillian and I went back to the guest house. After what felt like a few hours the guys returned stating that they had been driven to a different tailors as the original one had charged too much money and done the wrong measurements. We ate at Rice Bowl, good Thai food and big portions so we all had full bellies yay!

Sunday - Some of the Pearl students took us on a tour of Delhi. The plan was: See the Lotus Temple, see some other landmarks and do some shopping at market type places.
The reality was this: we went to one temple that Sihks use and we had to take our shoes and socks off before even getting to the entrance and we weren't allowed to go in without something covering our heads. It was a surreal experience and i spied some people taking our photo on their mobile phone and a couple of guys actually laughed at us... They were looking at me by the look of it. This was probably because none of us had a clue what was going on atall.
We saw the outside of the Lotus Temple from the road alongside it as it was closed! Typical. Still it looked stunning enough from our limited view, it is a shame we did not get to see more of it.

The students then took us to a big hotel complex which had a sort of mall where we went ot a cricket themed bar with the gloves for some of the seats and some of the small charis were basically single giant cricket balls! They also made thier own beer although since i am not a beer fan i sat there with a coke. Nice place, pity i hate cricket. The shop we looked at in there was just like all the other shops we've been to so far so we didn't buy anything. We went to Thai restuarant for lunch which was better than Rice Bowl.
After that place we went to a sort of fun park with go-karting and pool/bowling etc so some of the students played pool. I declined as my stomach was playing unfair painful games with me.

For dinner we went to the Hard Rock Cafe which i thought was better than the one in London due to the fact i got my meal nice and hot! We left in such a good mood and our bellies filled with delicious food. Apart from Robbie he had only two bites of his. We also used out design talents to make a face out of the remains of his meal.

We also carved a face into an apple and named him Jay. Unfortunatly he was lost during the day. A few more Jays have been created since and many shots and phots to remember them by.

Monday - Due to a national holiday marking the end of the fast for Muslims college was closed. So we done absolutely nothing. The previous day being extremely hot so we were exhausted. Robbie again went to Middle-Earth and the rest of us found other ways to entertain ourselves.

So that was our weekend.
