Ok first are my 20 pictures. These are of the Taj Mahal and the Amber fort's wall decorations which were absolutely beautiful and had alot of different shapes. It is these shapes that i decided to base my font off. Can i also say a big thankyou to everyone who made this trip possible as i have had an amazing time!

Last day
Well it's the last day! Don't have much else to say at the moment, I'm keeping some stuff for stories when we return!!
I'd just like to thank everyone who made this trip possible. It's been a fantastic opportunity, one which I hope to have made the most of! I feel like I have done everything I can to immerse myself in the expierience as much as I could! I hope we have left a good impression on both the students and staff here, and that with this added sense of perspective on the world my work can improve.
As I said previously I think the whole thing is going to take some time to proccess and no doubt I'll still be in Delhi mode for some time after we come home! Thanks again to everyone at both Adam Smith and Pearl who made it possible. I'll never forget it.

A little reminder
Hi world travellers,
Blair, Tony and Robbie - Thanks for emailing your fonts for monday's deadline - the class were really intrigued to see what you've been up to and gave positive feedback.....Tony maybe you could upload yours to the blog??!!! Lauren and Gillian - I live in hope...............
Incidentally have any of Pearl's exchange students (or otherwise) been working on this project too? Because when they come to Scotland we will be completing it (producing posters and banners) so if they haven't could you guys pass the message on.
Enjoy the remainder of your stay and I'll see you soon. The class is quiet and lonely without you all!!!!
Oh! It's never enough!
Looking forward to seeing fonts (and indeed more found typo) from Lauren, Tony and Gillian.....

Good weekend
Still enjoying myself out here! Had a very relaxing weekend in comparison to the previous one! Highlights for me included: Ordering a tailored suit for $30, can't beat that! Ti food, strangely enough! Probably the most disappointing thing about this trip is the food! Indian food is without a doubt my favourite back home, here I tend to avoid it..... Go figure! Some students took us out on Sunday which turned out a really good day. Spent the morning seeing a few temples etc then spent the reminder gorging on food and beer! I was desperate to see the Manchester derby (the football) so one of the guys kindly took us back to his place so we, or I as it turned out, could watch it! 4-3 to the mighty reds and a fantastic match to boot! Can't be bad. Hard Rock was a nice experience, ordered a cheeseburger! I don't know whether it was just my paranoia but the burger just tasted like wet sponge. Not good, the chips were fine though!!
Did some filming today out in the blaring sunshine, never been so uncomfortable! I have been feeling a bit off the last couple of days so it wasn't a great experience for me. I did enjoy the filming parts and learning new things however, I was glad to jump into the air conditioned taxi at the end of the day.
Not long left now, not sure how the whole expierience is going to effect me! It's going to take me months to proccess I think.

Our last weekend.
Ok time to do this again... first time i did this it deleted itself. See this is why i stay away from posting on websites i've only just joined.
Right so it was a relaxing weekend, complete opposite from our Jaipur, Agra, traffic jam experience.
Saturday - Exhausted from Friday's class which was full of people shouting at people who were trying to do their presentations (five ten minute presentations took nearly two hours to do), we put our washing into the dry cleaners and will have it back today. Gillian, Blair, Tony and I decided to explore our local area (while Robbie explored Middle-Earth) starting with the yoga park (no yoga on that day though but a couple of annoying street children just holding their hands out saying "Please") then we found a cake shop with Hindi Schweppes and Coca-cola cans and ended up at a fabric shop where they do suit making. Blair chose out some nice material and is gettng his suit made for thirty pounds! After coffee and cake in our favourite coffee shop Robbie also decided to get a suit made and Tony is gettign a shirt. Gillian and I went back to the guest house. After what felt like a few hours the guys returned stating that they had been driven to a different tailors as the original one had charged too much money and done the wrong measurements. We ate at Rice Bowl, good Thai food and big portions so we all had full bellies yay!
Sunday - Some of the Pearl students took us on a tour of Delhi. The plan was: See the Lotus Temple, see some other landmarks and do some shopping at market type places.
The reality was this: we went to one temple that Sihks use and we had to take our shoes and socks off before even getting to the entrance and we weren't allowed to go in without something covering our heads. It was a surreal experience and i spied some people taking our photo on their mobile phone and a couple of guys actually laughed at us... They were looking at me by the look of it. This was probably because none of us had a clue what was going on atall.
We saw the outside of the Lotus Temple from the road alongside it as it was closed! Typical. Still it looked stunning enough from our limited view, it is a shame we did not get to see more of it.
The students then took us to a big hotel complex which had a sort of mall where we went ot a cricket themed bar with the gloves for some of the seats and some of the small charis were basically single giant cricket balls! They also made thier own beer although since i am not a beer fan i sat there with a coke. Nice place, pity i hate cricket. The shop we looked at in there was just like all the other shops we've been to so far so we didn't buy anything. We went to Thai restuarant for lunch which was better than Rice Bowl.
After that place we went to a sort of fun park with go-karting and pool/bowling etc so some of the students played pool. I declined as my stomach was playing unfair painful games with me.
For dinner we went to the Hard Rock Cafe which i thought was better than the one in London due to the fact i got my meal nice and hot! We left in such a good mood and our bellies filled with delicious food. Apart from Robbie he had only two bites of his. We also used out design talents to make a face out of the remains of his meal.
We also carved a face into an apple and named him Jay. Unfortunatly he was lost during the day. A few more Jays have been created since and many shots and phots to remember them by.
Monday - Due to a national holiday marking the end of the fast for Muslims college was closed. So we done absolutely nothing. The previous day being extremely hot so we were exhausted. Robbie again went to Middle-Earth and the rest of us found other ways to entertain ourselves.
So that was our weekend.

Out of time?
Into the last week of your life changing odyssey-so a quick note to say that if you haven't already... the 'must sees' before you go are: absolutely get in a taxi to the literally awesome Lotus Flower Temple situated to the south-west of the city... and try and get the experience of Old Delhi on a rickshaw or autotaxi (and whilst you're there catch the Red Fort). Enjoy, take it all in and click those cameras like driven demons....
Hey Guys, everything that Mike states is
exactly the way it should be, enjoy and engage with the whole cultural experience forget about deadlines etc, these things will fall in place on your arrival back home. I am sure you have received my e-mail by now concerning trying to arrange flights for Gillian. We spent two days on the phone with KLM trying produce documents, get flights changed etc. The outcome being they are unable to accommodate the changes due to varying circumstances, ie Gillian is not in hospital I argued the case very strongly from our point of view with no joy so unfortunately the original flight dates stand and no other flight date was available. Hey enjoy this one last week because it will disappear rapidly and you will all be home as soon as. Stick together.

worry not
hi guys... i realise from the various comments and the possible impending return of the first wounded soldier that things have been very mixed as foretold... just a few words of encouragement which hopefully will settle any fractured nerves or anxious fears... you are not falling behind with the program here.. it has been carefully designed this year with a slow start to accomodate your group trip. when you get back (and yes we miss you ) you will have no trouble at all integrating back into the schedule and hitting all your deadlines. so relax and enjoy whats left of the experience. we expect you to struggle to communicate with us and do all the work out there but do hope you enjoy yourself. i am however thoroughly enjoying your blogs. blair you are a touch of class. robbie well done my fine friend, i did tell you about the injustice but good to hear you speak up; rant on my good man. you are in the tatters of an imperialist society transitioning into full blown right wing capitalism. they wouldnt know a socialist if he started a blog. gillian - i can feel your anxiety. its full blown but seriously try and relax into whats left. go with the flow. give up on control here and do not worry at all about college work. it is the experience which counts most for you all...where are the other two fine young bloggers? will post later. be calm enjoy and explore.
Mind F*%k
Nothing very possitive to say. Although I have been told my flight may be changed, I am, at close of play on Friday still unsure if it's happening or not. I can't get my head to work on anything useful so, unless, I manage to fly home either sat or sun sometime, the 2pm deadline will be missed by me. God, I am craving a bag o' chips the food is outrageous :(
I've had a bit of spare time today and managed to finish my found type alphabet/font. It's not quite as complex as I would have liked but it's worked out OK. Our Monday deadline became a problem when we were told it was a national holiday. Seeing as I won't have internet connection for the weekend it has to be finished today, thus is slightly less varied than I had hoped.
The basic idea is that there are these crazy, tangled networks of power cables in Delhi. they were one of the first things that really caught my eye when I arrived at the hotel on the first night. Ever since then I have been fixated by them. My original concept was to make the letters from the wires! Thinking this might be a daunting task for myself, I'm a pretty basic photoshop guru, I had a look for a less time consuming way of communicating the same idea. On a random walk to the metro station one day I noticed these sticks connecting some of the wires, this then proved the inspiration for my typeface. Also included are some of my favourite found typo images, accumulated over the period I have been here:
